The Equipment

What is a Lindr beer dispenser?

Lindr make portable draught equipment. The unit chills the beer as it pours, so you don't need a cellar chiller — which is what makes real draught possible in a house, a garden or a marquee.

Why Lindr
  • ✓Professional draught dispense in a compact, portable machine
  • ✓Cooling built into the unit — no separate remote chiller
  • ✓Built-in air compressor — no gas bottle for most beer and cider kegs
  • ✓Quick to set up and pack down for temporary events
  • ✓Single and twin-tap options available through VIVA
What We Hire

Both machines are the Lindr Kontakt 40/K — the Solo is the one-tap version, the Twin the two-tap. Lindr rate both at around 40 litres an hour, roughly 70 pints.

Both come with the right coupler for your keg, setup instructions, and UK-wide delivery and collection.

Is This Right for Your Event?

Brilliant for a garden party. Not for a busy bar.

Here's where they work, and where they don't.

Works Great For
  • ✓Garden parties and BBQs
  • ✓Birthday parties at home
  • ✓Smaller weddings with a relaxed bar area (under 75 guests)
  • ✓Casual outdoor events where people drift in and out
  • ✓A self-pour beer station alongside other drinks
  • ✓Events where you already have other drink options available
You Might Need More
  • –Large weddings or events where everyone drinks at once (100+ guests)
  • –Festival bars with non-stop queuing and high-volume service
  • –Events where beer is the only drink on offer
  • –Venues or events that require a staffed bar

For bigger or busier events, our dry hire bars or staffed bar packages are built for that level of service.

Keg Compatibility

Works with the common UK keg couplers

The vast majority of UK draught kegs use one of the common coupler types below. Tell us which beer or keg you're using when you book and we'll confirm compatibility and supply the appropriate coupler where available.

How do keg connectors work? A coupler is the fitting that connects your tap line to the top of the barrel. Different breweries and keg formats use different types. When you book, just tell us which beer you plan to serve and we'll include the correct coupler for your keg. No guesswork, nothing to buy separately.

Not sure which coupler your keg uses? Simply name the beer at checkout — we'll look it up and confirm before we dispatch. Or ask your keg supplier when you order — they'll know straight away.

At checkout we'll ask which beer you plan to serve — we'll include the right coupler and confirm compatibility before dispatch. Not sure where to source a keg locally? We're happy to help point you in the right direction — just ask when you book.

Buying rather than hiring? We sell couplers, fonts, taps, coolers and line cleaning kit outright — browse the beer equipment shop.

Serving more than a handful?

A tap unit has a ceiling. A bar doesn’t.

A Lindr is brilliant for a garden party — the Solo suits around 40 guests, the Twin around 75, at a relaxed pace. Push past that and people queue. Bar in a Box is a full bar with a professional chiller behind it, so what you can serve depends on your kegs, not the machine.

FAQ

Questions answered

It depends on the pace of your event more than the guest count. The Solo Tap works well for up to around 40 guests at a relaxed gathering — a garden party or birthday where people aren't all queuing at once. The Twin Tap suits up to around 75 guests in a similar setting. If you're expecting non-stop high-volume service — like a busy wedding bar where everyone drinks at the same time — you'd be better off with our dry hire bar setup, which is built for that kind of throughput.
Local drinks wholesalers, off-licences and breweries are your best bet — most will deliver direct to your door. Your nearest brewery or local trade drinks supplier will usually have a great range. Not sure where to find one near you? Just ask us when you book — we're happy to point you towards local suppliers. Make sure to tell us the beer you're planning at checkout so we can include the right coupler.
For most standard beer and cider kegs, no external gas is needed. The unit has a built-in air compressor that provides the pressure to dispense, plus built-in refrigeration to keep the beer cold. Just plug it in, connect your keg and you're ready. Guinness is the exception: stout needs a mixed gas cylinder, which you arrange separately. We do not promise that every keg on the market will run on air, so tell us what you're serving and we'll confirm before dispatch.
Very straightforward — full printed instructions are included with every unit. Plug in, attach the coupler we've included for your keg, connect the beer line and switch on. It cools down quickly and you'll be pouring in no time. Most people are set up in under 10 minutes.
We supply couplers for the common UK keg types — A-type, G-type, U-type, S-type and KeyKeg — which between them cover the vast majority of commercially available beers, lagers and ciders. Tell us the exact beer or keg you are using when you book and we will confirm compatibility and supply the appropriate coupler where available. If you are unsure, your keg supplier will be able to tell you which type it takes.
Minor wear is fine — we inspect each unit on return. Accidental damage is assessed and deducted from the deposit before it is returned. Serious damage or loss of the unit may result in additional charges beyond the deposit, which is why we ask you to confirm your liability at checkout. Solo Tap replacement value is £799. Twin Tap replacement value is £999.
Once the unit is collected and checked — usually the same day or next day — we process your refund immediately. It typically appears in your account within 3–5 working days depending on your bank.
Yes. The £199 hire covers up to 3 days. If you set your collection date further out when you book, each extra day is added at £25 and charged at checkout. Already booked and want longer? Contact us — extensions depend on the unit not being booked for the following weekend.

Don't lose your weekend date.

We only have a limited number of units — dates go fast. Takes two minutes to book. Reserve yours now before your date is gone.

Deposit fully refunded after collection. Cancel or rearrange any time before dispatch.
