What Dry Hire Is

The bar and the logistics — handled.

Dry hire is the middle option: more than Bar in a Box, less than a full staffed bar. We do everything to do with the bar itself. You handle the drinks and the pouring. Clear line, no surprises.

We handle
Everything bar-side.

Same for every dry hire booking, included in the price you're quoted.

  • Choice of bar — Mayfair, Classic, Pavilion, or Riviera
  • Delivery to your venue anywhere in the UK
  • Setup and tap test before guests arrive
  • Collection the next day
  • Up to 4 working taps configured to your event
  • Cooling and gas set correctly for a clean pour
  • Public liability insurance
  • Fixed price — no estimate-tax, no surprises
You supply
The drinks and the pour.

This is what makes dry hire cheaper than a staffed bar. We can quote any of it as an add-on if you'd rather not.

  • The drinks — kegs, bottles, mixers, ice
  • Dispense gas — a CO2 or 60/40 mixed-gas cylinder to suit your kegs
  • Someone to pour (a friend, or hire pour-staff separately)
  • Glassware, unless you add it on
  • A power supply within reach of the bar
Four Bars, One Standard

Any of the four, on dry hire.

Every bar is mobile, four-tap capable, and configured to your event. Dry hire works with all of them — the choice comes down to the look and whether you want a custom front panel.

LED Illuminated The Mayfair bar — slatted black panel with oak top and warm LED underglow
The Mayfair
Architectural. Illuminated. Unmistakably premium.

Slatted black panelling, solid oak worktop, warm LED underglow. The premium look on dry hire — popular for evening receptions.

Up to 4 taps · Configurable to your event
Customisable The Classic bar — stainless steel top with bold VIVA wordmark on a black panel
The Classic
The original. Seen at hundreds of UK events.

Stainless top, bold black panel, swappable front. The only bar you can put your own branding or names on. Custom panel fee applies.

Up to 4 taps · Custom panel option
LED Illuminated The Pavilion bar — slatted black panelling with elevated tap unit for self-service
The Pavilion
Self-service, beautifully done.

Same premium slatted finish as The Mayfair with an elevated tap unit so guests pour their own. A natural fit for dry hire.

Up to 4 taps · Self-service layout
The Riviera bar — powder blue front panel with oak worktop, summer styling
The Riviera
Sunshine in bar form.

Powder blue panel, oak top. The softer, daytime option — summer parties, garden receptions, anywhere the black bars feel too formal.

Up to 4 taps · Daytime & summer

Dry Hire FAQs

Yes — that's what makes dry hire cheaper than a staffed bar. You supply kegs, bottles, mixers and ice. We give you a recommended quantity list based on your guest count so you're not guessing. If you'd rather we supplied the drinks, we can quote that as an add-on.

Not on standard dry hire — you provide the person pouring, whether that's a friend or staff you hire in. If you want trained bartenders, that's the Staffed Bar option, or we can add pour-staff onto a dry hire booking. Just ask and we'll quote it.

Up to four working taps, configured to your event. The base price is single-tap; a 2-tap setup is +£50 and a 4-tap setup is +£150. Tell us what you're pouring and we'll recommend the right configuration.

We deliver and set up before guests arrive — usually two to four hours before service, depending on venue access. Collection is the next day. If your venue needs same-night collection or has tight access windows, tell us upfront and we'll plan around it. Extra hire days are +£50 per day.
